Armin Bachmann “If energy becomes sound, and the passion is heard as a melody, I feel good.” With this statement, Armin Bachmann expresses his passion. His studies, which he completed in Germany and Switzerland have resulted in years of travel that have lasted until today. A trombonist in a number of prestigious European orchestras, he is also active in chamber music performing with ensembles such as the Trio Cappella, Yamaha Neo Brass Ensemble, Classic Festival Brass, Ensemble Contrasts Nürnberg, to name just a few. For 36 years (1983-2019) he was a member of the Slokar trombone quartet and also traveled with the whole world. From Berlin Newspaper 2018: “Its lightness and musicality is outstanding and inspiring.” A highly regarded soloist, Armin performed with symphony orchestras, (London, Munich, Berlin, Ankara, Basel, Winterthur, Beijing, Tokio, Weimar, Astana, Pristina etc.), brass- & wind bands, Piano or Organ. In addition to his playing work he is also an established and he has also been a juror in many international competitions. Passionate about education, Armin Bachmann was a professor for 18 years at the Academy of Music “Franz Liszt” in Weimar, and travel now around the world and give master classes in Beijing, Tokyo, Paris, Manchester, Vienna, Munich, Helsinki, Bangkok, Astana, Havanna, Ankara, Pristina. To date, Armin has made more than 45 CD recordings, appeared on numerous live radio and television performances and has performed numerous world premieres of contemporary works. In 2020 his new solo album “all yours” was released and attracted a lot of attention around the world. Armin Bachmann lives his passion and is a Yamaha Artist until 1993.
