Jest absolwentem klasy perkusji Conservatoire de Strasbourg oraz paryskiego Maurice Ravel Municipal Conservatory. We Francji studiował u niekwestionowanych mistrzów sztuki perkusyjnej takich, jak: Emmanuel Sejourne, Jean-Baptiste Leclère, Didier Vérité, Vassilena Serafimova.
Młody artysta ma na koncie wiele nagród na międzynarodowych konkursach perkusyjnych. Zdobył m.in.: I nagrodę na Italy PAS w 2014 roku w kategorii werbel, wykonując w rundzie finałowej swoją pierwszą kompozycję perkusyjną „Elescarf” na werbel i trzy krotale; I nagrodę na Athen’s Days of Percussion również w kategorii werblowej w 2016 roku. Brał udział w najbardziej prestiżowych konkursach perkusyjnych na świecie, m.in. Concours de Geneve (2019).
Rudolf swobodnie włada językiem polirytmii, a zamiłowanie do niej przejawia nie tylko jako wykonawca ale również kompozytor. Struktury rytmiczne są wszakże głównym punktem zapalnym w jego procesie twórczym. Inspiruje go twórczość Philippe’a Hurela, jak i zespołów metalowych.
Obecnie kontynuuje studia wyższe o profilu „Performer – Composer” w szwajcarskiej Haute école de musique de Genève w klasie Philippe’a Spiessera oraz pracuje nad nowym projektem eksplorującym połączenie perkusyjnej muzyki kameralnej z live electronics.
He is a graduate of the percussion class at Conservatoire de Strasbourg and the Maurice Ravel Municipal Conservatory in Paris. In France, he studied with world-class Masters of percussion, such as Emmanuel Sejourne, Jean-Baptiste Leclère, Didier Vérité, and Vassilena Serafimova.
Artist has won many awards at international percussion competitions. Among others he is a laureate of 1st prize at the Italy PAS in 2014 in the snare drum category, where he premiered his first percussion composition “Elescarf” for snare drum and three crotales; 1st prize at Athen’s Days of Percussion also in the snare drum category in 2016. He took part in the most prestigious percussion competitions in the world, such as Concours de Geneve (2019).
Rudolf is fluent in the language of polyrhythm, and he is passionate about it not only as a performer but also as a composer. Rhythm is, after all, the main trigger in his creative process. His inspirations can be found in works of Philippe Hurel as so as metal bands.
Currently, he is continuing his studies in the “Performer - Composer” profile at the Swiss Haute école de musique de Genève in the class of Philippe Spiesser and he is working on a new project exploring the combination of chamber percussion music with live electronics.
