ELIO ORIO

ELIO ORIO He’s a Chamber music and violin teacher at “Pollini” Padova’s State Conservatoire. He started to study music at Asti’s local music school, where he was awarded many times as the best student and where he was violin, viola teacher and chamber music teacher for nearly 20 years. He went on studying with Camillo Grasso (first violin at Rome’s Opera Theatre), Corrado Romano (teacher for virtuosity at Ginevra Conservatoire in Switzerland) and Franco Gulli (concert performer and teacher at Bloomington University, USA). Before getting his degree in violin he started to work for some of the most important National Orchestras (RAI national television, “Carlo Felice” Theatre in Genova, Opera Theatre in Rome, Regio Opera Theatre in Torino and some others…).
Then, he devoted himself to the study of chamber music and founded the Athenaeum Piano Quartet that made him win several prizes in different competitions. He also performed concerts for important associations and attended Siena’s Chigiana Academy (thanks to a grant) where he got a merit degree. He played in a quartet with Bruno Canino and Pier Narciso Masi, two of the most important Italian pianists. Besides, he often performed solo concerts and he was first violin in many Italian orchestras. He founded Asti’s Chamber Ensemble and promoted Asti’s Symphony Orchestra, whose first concert, conducted by Orio himself, took place at the “Alfieri” Theatre in Asti.
After taking a public examination he became a conservatoire teacher.
He has been giving summer proficiency courses since 1999 and Masterclasses in Malaga and Oviedo, (Spain), Cyprus, Banska Bystrica (Slovakia), Porto and Braganca (Portugal), Istanbul (Turkey), Timisoara (Romania), Thessaloniki (Greece), Francisco Beltrao and Maringà (Brazil), China (Beijing, Nanjing, Suzhou, Wuhan, and others), Kazakhstan (Astana and Almati).
He played in Italy, Switzerland, Germany, France, Austria, Finland, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Slovak, Czech Republic, Brazil, China, Kazakhstan, Cyprus, Syria.
Invited by State Conservatory in St. Petersburg (Russia) for an educational meeting. He was also member of the jury of Danubia Talents Competition (Hungary) and in other international competitions in Italy.
In addition, he got a degree in viola.
He was often invited as a member of the Tekfen Filarmonyc Orchestra in Istanbul, formed by the best musicians of more than 20 different countries.
From November 2009 to 2015 he was director of the “Buzzolla” Conservatoire of Music in Adria.
He is honorary professor of Xuzhou Kindergarten Teachers College (China).

 

DARIO MARRINI

DARIO MARRINI He graduates with best marks and honors at S. Cecilia Conservatory in Rome. He attends advanced courses in Salzburg, playing in final stage and earning the Lanciano “Nino Rota” prize. He is successful as soloist in national competitions: in the age of 16 years he won I Prize to the Review “F. Liszt” of Livorno, participating subsequently in the Concert of the Winners in Eisenstadt (Austria) and in Raiding, native city of F. Liszt, playing on a piano belonged to the Master. Subsequently he was awarded in numerous other piano competitions : XV Coppa Pianisti di Osimo playing in final stage with the orchestra, third prize at VIII and X Coppa Pianisti d’Italia di Osimo and at IV e V National Competition A.M.A. Calabria, certificate of merit at “Città di Albenga” fifth Competition, at “Premio rendano” of Roma ninth Edition and at “P. Cafaro” Competition in 1986 in Galatina. He performs, with pianist Caterina Ferrari, a four hands duo piano, achieving important results in national and international competitions: Prize for the ensemble to the First Review G. M. I. in Rende (Cs), first prize at “Città di Catanzaro” tenth Piano Competition (fifth international edition); second prize at “G. B. Pergolesi” second national competition in Pozzuoli. Expanding his repertoire to the rhythmic and ragtime music he manages to achieve the first Medal Mention in the Final, held in Paris, of Music Competition of France, in the section “Piano’s Rythms”. He teaches piano in Italy’s Conservatories since 1983, and he’s teaching at “C. Pollini” Conservatory in Padova since 2009.
